Probabilmente i figli morirono adolescenti.
HISTORY OF
ST. RITA
S. Rita was born in 1381 and died in 1457,she was born in Roccaparena of Cascia and according to tradition, the parents were "peacemakers of Christ," in the struggles between Guelphs and Ghibellines, when she was about fifteen years old she married Paul Ferdinand and from the marriage two children were born, maybe twins. Rita's life was shattered by the assassination of her husband, but she was able to fully forgive those who had caused her so much pain. Probably the children died young. Left by herself, she entered the Augustinian monastery of St. Mary Magdalene in Cascia and consecrated herself totally to God for the rest of her life. After her death the cult was immediate as evidenced by the first sarcophagus, preserved in the Monastery of Cascia, and the Codex Miracolorum, both from 1457.
